While there is no need to make drastic changes to your style in the summertime you may prefer to wear a softer color palette.  Lighter shades are better at reflecting the sun’s harsh rays, while darker clothing holds in heat.  This means summer is the right time to exchange your little black dress for a little white one!  Sporting an all white ensemble can only be done at certain times of the year. While winter white has become a new trend, it all started in the summertime.  We’ve gathered a few of our favorite white clothing items to add to your summer wardrobe!

It’s officially summer, which means more sunshine, spending time with family and friends outdoors, and (our favorite reason) good food. So start cutting up ridiculous amounts of watermelon, bake some creative cupcakes for a summer birthday, make more fresh + colorful summer salads, and mix up some sweet cocktails for those epic summer sunsets. With all of that goodness in mind, we’d like to announce that HelloSociety is hosting another Influencer-exclusive potluck party! This potluck is summer themed and is open to all HelloSociety Influencers interested in making and photographing some summer treats for a chance to share your content creation skills and potentially win one of ten Amazon gift cards.

In the past two years, we’ve hosted a variety of fun holiday potlucks for Valentine’s Day, 4th of July, Halloween, and Easter. We have had over 200 potluck submissions total and are excited to continue this HelloSociety tradition. (more…)

When did you start using Pinterest and what inspired you to make an account?

I joined Pinterest pretty early on, but the only thing I used it for was pinning things from our site that I could use in future blog posts. It was like my own personal filing cabinet. I had no idea what it would become. Only when we saw people starting to follow us and click through to our site, did we realize this could be something big.
