If you are into design and fashion on Pinterest, there’s a pretty good chance you follow Lauren and have scoured the web to find out more about her. Well, cyber-stalk no more … we’ve got the scoop on the young lady that is about to take the New York fashion scene by storm!

You’re currently a fashion design student – what made you decide to choose that study?

I traveled a lot at a young age and I think that’s what opened me up to fashion- like going to London and Paris, I saw a lot that I wouldn’t see in Tennessee. I’m from Nashville, and I studied fine arts in high school, so I think it was an easy transition to fashion in college.

How would you describe your personal style/aesthetic?

My style is more daring now that I’m a fashion student. Studying fashion expanded my style to a lot of different genres. I like to incorporate a variety of trends. My style is bit worldly due to travel and high exposure to seeing it.

It was recently revealed by shopify.com that in 2012, on average, consumers spent more money on Pinterest than Google, Amazon, Yahoo, Bing, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.  That’s an impressive stat! What’s even more impressive is that while referral traffic to shopify stores from Facebook was 23% higher than referral traffic from Pinterest, Pinterest’s conversion rate was double than Facebook’s, making the traffic from the visual site more targeted and valuable. But not just any pin has the potential to go viral and create a noticeable increase in ROI. Just as important as image quality and product is who pins and/or repins from your site.

HelloSociety, an all-inclusive Pinterest marketing agency, recently surveyed 110 of the most-followed pinners to get a better understanding of their social media use beyond Pinterest, and marketers should probably pay attention. After all, when one of these top Pinterest users pins an image from a brand’s site, it can generate hundreds of visits within a matter of hours.

Case in point: HelloSociety’s TOP pinners average 700+ repins per image — some going as high as the 1,000’s — driving significant site traffic while boosting brand awareness and sales. Impressive?
