When did you start using Pinterest and what inspired you to make an account?

I signed up for Pinterest in May of 2010 – so early, it must have just left beta! I joined as part of the Pin-It-Forward campaign that Sfgirlbybay created to help introduce Pinterest to bloggers and creatives, and I was instantly hooked.

Why do you like Pinterest?

Being able to categorize inspiration in a visual way was a huge help for me creatively and professionally. Pinterest has been an incredible tool to help me gain a laser-like focus on my own interests and aesthetic preferences, which helps me tremendously in my work as a textile designer. (more…)

She attended The Art Institute of California – Los Angeles in Santa Monica and says that Pinterest is a big inspiration for her work these days. When she’s not on Pinterest or designing beautiful interiors for businesses, like restaurants and bars, she can be found brewing homemade beer with her boyfriend, doing crafts, cooking, planning parties or walking her Golden Lab, Beau! Cristina’s passion for event planning, style, and interior design has earned her over 678K Pinterest followers!

When did you start using Pinterest and what inspired you to make an account?

I started using Pinterest around two or three years ago. I kept hearing about it from the daily blogs I read and I knew I just had to check it out. I was instantly hooked. I thought it was a genius way of storing images I loved. Before Pinterest, I would save inspirational photos either on my computer, thumbdrives, or email which became very disorganized. Now I have all of my images in one place and I love it!

Why do you like Pinterest?

I like how convenient and user-friendly Pinterest is. It’s so easy to get inspired. I feel like I’ve gained a lot from the site in the simplest ways just by trying new things, such as a new recipe that I can share with friends or pinning a household DIY tip and making it work in my house. I started using Pinterest when I was in school and used it to inspire my interior design projects. Now I use it for everything. Pinterest has kind of evolved into my search engine.

You have gained over 678K followers! Amazing! So what makes your Pinterest unique? (more…)
